When did you first play?
We moved to Wales from England when I was five or six. I played football, then started rugby at Monmouth School and loved it.
What is your favourite position and why?
I’ve played centre and full-back but mostly wing this year. I prefer full-back because you get the ball more, but I’m only 19 so I’m happy anywhere.
When did you join the Dragons?
I played age grades there from U14 and I was pretty much full-time with them in my last year at school.
What were your aims at the start of this season?
I thought last summer’s Junior World Cup went well and I was confident after that and hoping to get some starts for the Dragons.
And by November you were playing for Wales!
Yes! It has happened quickly but I don’t feel fazed. I watched the South Africa game thinking I’d love to be playing and two weeks later I was! My debut was amazing, very special.
You are following in Jamie Roberts’s footsteps by doing a medical degree…
I’m trying to do the first year full-time. I was at the hospital from 9 to 5 on one Friday, then scored two tries for the Dragons that evening against Zebre! My aim outside rugby this year is to pass my exams!
RW verdict: Fast-tracked into the XV to play Tonga, Amos has already impressed the Wales coaches.
