Jersey climbed to the summit of National Two South after winning Saturday’s top- of- the- table clash at Henley. The bulk of the scoring at Dry Leas came in the second half as the Islanders overhauled an 8-3 half- time deficit. They rattled in 30 points without reply until two injury- time tries for the Hawks gave the scoreline a more even look. Ben Harvey’s side will now look to extend their winning run in competitive matches to 33 games when they play Lydney at home.

Ealing moved above Henley into second place following a 16- try demolition of hapless Newbury. Phil Chesters, the division’s leading try- scorer did not play, however Owen Bruynseels made up for his absence with an incredible six- try haul in the first- ever league meeting between the clubs. On Saturday, Ealing head to Bristol to play Clifton. Clifton were beaten 27-10 at Richmond, while city neighbours Dings Crusaders also lost after Old Albanians speedster Christopher May raced in for a last- gasp interception try.

Taunton were the only West Country side to prevail on the weekend, winning 25-23 at Southend. The Somerset outfit are on the road again, travelling to Newbury, while Dings visit a Hinckley side that lost 29-12 at Canterbury. Canterbury go to Shelford, who went down 21-13 at Worthing, while Westcombe Park, winners for the first time this season after beating Lydney 21-20, host Richmond.

Henley will aim to recover back from the setback against Jersey by coming away from Old Albanians with the spoils of victory, while Worthing play Southend.
