adidas Blackout Predator Incurza review
Worn by leading test match points scorer Dan Carter during the Rugby World Cup 2015, the adidas Blackout Predator Incurza are the ideal boot for the kicking back.
The world famous Predator technology provides control and precision with a light Hybridtouch Speedtraxion outsole for speed and comfort, along with asymmetric lacing to offer a larger kicking zone to give you the perfect sweet spot.
The entire boot has been blacked out to give a more classic design, and the upper combines the benefits of leather and synthetic which is not only lightweight, but also keeps your feet dry in all weather conditions.
As part of the Force of Black campaign, adidas released the blackout series of boots especially for the All Blacks to wear at the 2015 Rugby World Cup, to ensure the side were head to toe in black.
And adidas didn’t just stop with the Predator in the blacked out version. They provide for all positions on the pitch with the Crazyquick designed for the speedsters of the back line, the FF80 Pro for the loose forwards, and the Regulate Kakari made specifically for the tight-five.
Simon Cartwright, the Senior Director at adidas Rugby, said: “We believe, as an evolution of ‘the blackest ever’ All Blacks jersey launched in November, Blackout boots make a strong and powerful statement, just like the All Blacks do every time they hit the field.”
Ideal for the modern back who wants to stand out by harking back to the old school.
Verdict
Incredibly hard to get your hands on now, but they look sleak, boast accuracy and the predator continues to drive standards
