The England Six Nations squad finished third in 2024, with three wins (including a famous victory over Ireland at Twickenham) and two away defeats.

The tournament marked the start of a a major rebuild for head coach Steve Borthwick, as several experienced players (including captain Owen Farrell) had either retired or made themselves unavailable after the 2023 Rugby World Cup.  This article shows how the teams Borthwick picked from the England Six Nations squad evolved over the course of the tournament. It remains to be seen who’ll make it into the England Six Nations 2025 squad to stake a claim for a place on next summer’s British & Irish Lions tour to Australia, but you can expect many of these players to still be involved.
