Sale Sharks’ injury woes continue with the news that fly half Charlie Hodgson has suffered a small fracture of the foot. He’s likely to be out of action until well into the New Year. Charlie was injured playing for England against South Africa.
He was wearing protective casing on his foot last week, when it was hoped that his injuries were bruising and swelling, but X-rays have delivered a more serious verdict.
Charlie joins Eifion Roberts, Neil Briggs, David Seymour, Tom Brady, Aston Croall and James Gaskell on the mid-to-longer term injury list at Carrington.
