MANUSAMOA TUILAGI has been disciplined and fined £3,000 following his actions in Auckland Harbour on Sunday afternoon.
Tuilagi, who jumped into the water from a ferry in Auckland Harbour on his way back from a trip to Waiheke Island, and was warned by Auckland Police about disorderly behaviour before being released without charge, said: “I’m really sorry. It was a silly thing to do and I apologise to everybody for any inconvenience caused.”
England Team Manager Martin Johnson said: “This was an irresponsible thing to do. Manu has been disciplined internally and I have warned him about his future conduct.”
The fine will be paid to the RWC Christchurch Appeal
