Ladbrokes have installed Wales as the 8/11 favourites to beat Ireland in Cardiff in this weekend’s RBS 6 Nations clash. Despite scoring seven tries in their opening three games Ireland go into Saturday’s game as 11/10 outsiders. Although the Championship looks to be out of reach for Declan Kidney’s men, the Triple Crown is still up for grabs with Ladbrokes offering a 5/1 chance of Ireland seeing off Wales and then upsetting England’s march to a Grand Slam.
Elsewhere, both France and England are 1/14 favourites to record wins against Italy and Scotland this weekend, according to the firm. England are 8/15 to land the Grand Slam in Dublin on 19th March.
Hayley O’Connor of Ladbrokes said:
“Ireland might be underdogs but the margins are narrow so there’s really very little separating the teams in the betting at the moment. We have happy memories from our last visit to Cardiff so roll on Saturday!”
England fly half, Toby Flood is 4/11 hot favourite to be tournament top scorer have notched up 35 points so far in the campaign. Ronan O’Gara is best of the Irish on 20/1 with 16 points scored.
