What’s Hot and What’s Not for June
By Rugby World Reader Larissa Falls
Hot:
Champions…Toulouse for sealing their 10th Top 14 title, England Saxons for winning the Churchill Cup, and the Baby Blacks for securing a fourth consecutive U20’s JWC
Non Evans…For being awarded the title of MBE and recognised for her Services to Sport
Bulls v Sharks Game…Brilliant match of great intensity and high skill level
Andy Blyth…An awe-inspiring achievement to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro 11 years after fearing he would be paralysed for life
Italian Crowds… Incredibly passionate and supportive throughout the JWC
Ben Gollings…A great servant to England 7’s Rugby and the 7’s circuit
Schalk Brits (above)…He must surely be the only hooker in world rugby who could be called up as cover for the back row, in a Super 15 semi!
Not:
ERC…They missed a golden opportunity to take the Heineken Cup final to a new market in 2013, instead, they opted for the safer bet of Dublin.
‘Footballers Migraines’…Forcing Berrick Barnes to take an immediate break from rugby
IRB… For completely rejecting the much wanted ‘Concussion Bin.’ Would it not least have been worth a trial?
Wales…More players behaving badly!
Sky Coverage…Can you focus more on the rugby match and less on the female spectators
RFU…The ongoing internal political fiasco does not do much for the image of English rugby
SANZAR…Why are there not neutral referees for the Super Rugby finals?
