TALENTED young Nottingham star Tim Streather has signed a two year contract extension with the Green and Whites.
The 22-year-old centre, who can also play on the wing, signed the contract this week, has made 49 league appearances under DoR Glenn Delaney, scoring 25 tries in the process.
The player notched up 100 points for Nottingham in the game versus Rotherham earlier in the season and is highly regarded as one of the Meadow Lane club’s brightest young prospects.
Glenn Delaney said: “Tim’s been on the radar with the big Scottish clubs having played an A-team game up there, and he’s showed his class this season, most recently against Worcester when it was his quality try that got us the vital bonus point.
“From last year when he was player of the season for us, to this year when we’ve just seen him get better and better, Tim’s exactly the type of player we wanted to secure as we look to move forward as a club.”
Tim Streather said: “I’m delighted to have signed with Glenn and the rest of the Nottingham team. It’s a brilliant set-up here at Meadow Lane and I’m very pleased to have the chance to advance my career with the club.
“This season we’ve still got lots to achieve and our next aim is to make those semi-finals. I’ve still got a lot to learn as a player and I know I’m in exactly the right place to do that.”
