To celebrate the opening of the new Leicester Tigers Store at the Welford Road stadium, one of Tigers’ favourite sons, Martin Corry, will be turning out to cut the ribbon on Thursday 11th August at 10am.
Following a six week refurbishment, fans will finally be able to see the stunning new Tiger Store when it opens this week. Capital FM’s drive time presenters Dino and Pete will be down at the store from 9:30 to entertain the fans, with Martin Corry officially opening the new store at 10:00am.
After the construction of their 10,000-seater Caterpillar Stand in 2009 and continued success on the pitch over the last decade, Leicester Tigers are now showing their growth in the retail sector. Tigers have had a major renovation over the summer, doubling the size of their club store and giving it a major overhaul inside for their fans. The retail space has increased to 2,000 sq ft and boasts a contemporary look and feel. The spacious design of the outlet sees wooden floors and wood trim combined with large graphic images of player closer ups to create a striking visual effect.
The transformation is not just visual, customers will notice a greatly improved service on match days with an increase in tills and an in-store shirt printing service. This is combined with an upgraded ordering facility where fans can order in store and have their products delivered anywhere in the world.
Fans will also see a transformation of the online store, which will relaunch at the same time and will offer improved ordering and delivery options, enabling supporters to purchase online and collect in store.
When the store opens on Thursday, supporters will also be able to purchase Tigers’ new kit for the coming season in playing quality, as well as pre-order replica kits.
To get the chance to see Leicester Tigers legend Martin Corry and browse the new state-of-the-art store come down to Welford Road on Thursday and join in the fun from 9:30am.
