Sale Sharks announce that after an extensive piece of research involving season ticket holders, regular supporters, sponsors and corporate guests as well as the playing and coaching staff, Friday Nights will once again be the Club’s preferred kick off time. The research involved an on-line questionnaire with almost 1500 participants and the club also considered data provided by the more extensive Premiership Rugby National Fans Survey.
Friday Night was the overwhelming choice of those who responded with 63.7% selecting it as their preferred choice.
Speaking about the results Chief Executive Mick Hogan commented;
“With season tickets about to be launched, it is important that our supporters know when games will be played. Friday Evenings give us real advantages in that we rarely clash with other sporting fixtures in the area and also means we don’t directly compete with local rugby, so people involved in community clubs don’t have to choose between playing and supporting the Sharks.
However, we are mindful that not everybody can attend on Friday nights and we hope to play a small number of games on Saturday or Sunday afternoons to assist supporters living further afield. Decisions on how many and when can only be taken once the fixture lists are known and other factors such as TV commitments, Stockport County games and other sporting fixtures/events in the area can be considered.
Season ticket details will be released in the next few days with more reasons than ever before to sign up with the Sharks for 2011-12.
