Tickets for Troops is delighted to team up with Aviva to provide members of the Armed Forces with 100 free tickets to the Premiership Rugby Final.
These tickets will be made available on the Tickets for Troops website www.ticketsfortroops.org.uk to troops who are currently serving or who have been medically discharge since 2001.
The Aviva Premiership Rugby Final takes place on Saturday 28 May 2011 at Twickenham Stadium, where the 2010/11 Aviva Premiership Rugby Champions will be crowned. The match is world rugby union’s biggest domestic club final, selling out Twickenham Stadium for the last three seasons. This weekend Leicester Tigers are in Aviva Premiership semi-final action against Northampton Saints whilst Saracens take on Gloucester at Vicarage Road.
Tickets For Troops was set up in 2009 to provide members of the Armed Forces with free tickets for major sporting events, theatre performances, music concerts and cultural attractions. Since launching it has been donated over 250,000 tickets and over 85,000 troops have registered on the website www.ticketsfortroops.org.uk.
Chairman of Tickets For Troops Lord Marland said “We are enormously grateful to AVIVA for their support of Tickets For Troops. It makes a real difference to the troops who are doing such an extraordinary job during these difficult times.”
Tickets For Troops has teamed up with a wide range of organisations and has been able to offer free tickets to a huge number of high profile events, recently these have included tickets for The BRIT Awards, John Bishop and England v Ghana at Wembley.
This initiative has attracted maximum support from a host of Patrons, including Gavin Hastings, Alan Shearer, and PMs wife Samantha Cameron.
Troops are encouraged to go online and register at www.ticketsfortroops.org.uk to take advantage of the fantastic tickets available for our Armed Forces.
