GLENN DELANEY has outlined his belief that the best is still yet to come from Nottingham Rugby this season.
The Director of Rugby noted at the beginning of the season that his team would improve as the campaign progressed and saw the Green and Whites pick up a string of impressive away victories before the turn of the year.
The kiwi chief is adamant his side are set to raise their game even further in a fixture period that will see the Meadow Lane club play at least 5 games before playing Worcester on the 6th of February.
Speaking before training yesterday, Delaney said: “With the number of new guys coming in at the beginning of this season it was always going to take a little bit of time for us to be going full throttle.
“The process of gelling together has certainly reached a stage where we can rotate the squad and still expect very high results, that combined with good fitness and a lack of injuries sets us up for the crunch time to come.
“We’ve improved through the season and that we’ll be looking to get even more clinical and creative on the field in the upcoming games.”
